What I do mostly is digging.
Or maybe it's better to say I stack?
All I know is that I'm finding precious stones along the way.
Sometimes I just find sand.
Sometimes I decide to stop when I find a bright red apple
Some days I don't stop until I'm down 48 levels in search of some secret knowledge, burying
landscapes I wish I could swallow
What a pity to have to crush red apples!
But the map says I have to follow the path.
So I move forward trying not to get distracted,
enjoying the view when I pass by a living rock,
or suffering beyond measure when an indifferent stone appears.
Deep down, I'm just looking to have a good story to tell.
Marcel R. Bjerg is an artist based in Barcelona who's main practice is painting. His interest in the media is to create deepness through color, using a systematic way of overlapping layers of paint where he combines positive and negative space to create shapes.
